To promote cross-cultural communication and help international students gain in-depth experience of traditional Chinese culture, our school held a wonderful Dragon Boat Festival-themed cross-cultural exchange activity recently. Centering on traditional festival customs, the activity invited teachers to guide foreign students to experience intangible cultural heritage practices, allowing overseas teachers and students to feel the unique charm of Chinese traditional festivals up close.<\/p>\n\n\n\n During the activity, professional teachers systematically introduced the origin and cultural connotations of<\/p>\n\n\n\n The zongzi-making experience was equally lively and interesting. Teachers demonstrated the standard steps of folding bamboo leaves, glutinous rice filling, and tight binding in detail, and corrected the students\u2019 movements one by one. Foreign students followed the demonstration carefully, trying their best to master the skills of wrapping zongzi. Although their finished works were varied in shape, each unique zongzi was full of their sincere experience and festive joy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The whole activity was filled with a warm, harmonious and peaceful atmosphere. International students interacted actively with teachers and Chinese peers, sharing their new discoveries and feelings about Chinese traditional culture. Through immersive experience, they not only mastered the production skills of traditional festival customs, but also deeply felt the inclusiveness and warmth of Chinese traditional culture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This Dragon Boat Festival cross-cultural exchange activity successfully built a bridge for cultural communication. It enabled foreign students to learn traditional Chinese customs in practice, deepen their recognition and love for Chinese culture, and also laid a solid foundation for further promoting campus cross-cultural integration and friendly exchanges between Chinese and foreign students.
