School Holds Special Spring Festival Cross-Cultural Activity for International Students

As the Spring Festival approached, our school launched a special Spring Festival cross-cultural activity for international students. The event aimed to help foreign learners deepen their understanding of Chinese culture, enrich their Chinese learning experience, and embrace the festive atmosphere of the most important traditional festival in China through immersive and interactive experiences.

Subsequently, the interactive experience sessions brought the whole activity to life. Teachers organized interesting cultural and language games, creating a relaxed and joyful learning atmosphere for all participants. International students then actively engaged in traditional Chinese folk art experiences, including paper-cutting and writing Spring Festival couplets. With the guidance of teachers, they carefully cut delicate window grilles with festive patterns and wrote auspicious New Year blessings on red couplet paper, feeling the unique charm of Chinese traditional folk arts in hands-on practice.

The highlight of the day came with a wonderful Chinese traditional dance performance by teachers. The elegant posture, graceful movements and unique artistic charm of traditional Chinese dance instantly captured every student’s attention. Full of curiosity and enthusiasm, international students could not wait to stand up and follow the teachers to learn the basic dance gestures. Everyone imitated carefully and interacted happily, filling the venue with laughter and festive joy.

This special Spring Festival cross-cultural activity perfectly combined Chinese language learning with traditional cultural experience. It not only helped international students expand their knowledge of Chinese traditional culture and improve their Chinese cultural literacy, but also enhanced mutual communication and friendship between Chinese and foreign teachers and students.
